This dress was one of my many finds during my last Ukay trip! I actually almost passed up visiting this specific store, Daren is the one who made me go in just in case! While we were taking these photos, a little boy followed us, and was peeking over Daren's shoulder the whole time..He was so cute but his dirty clothes broke my heart! Daren asked him if he wanted to get his photo taken also. It was hard trying to get him to smile, he didn't speak any English...But luckily we have been studying our Tagalog lately. At the end of the shoot, we gave him 100 pesos (about $2 US, which is valued a lot here) and he ran off happily.

ReplyDeleteAw, he looks so sweet! I used to know a little Tagalog when I was little but all I can say now is "mahal kita", which is important, I guess, but kind of cliche :) Keep up with the lessons!

Really like this series. Particularly the first alley picture and of course the little boy. The dress reminds me of when my friend Toups (www.rigby-sydneytoups.blogspot.com) did an all over purple outfit. I think you commented on it actually. The picture of the little boy is fantastic but still breaks my heart.
