Black & White

The weather here in Yucaipa has been so wacky. The mornings will look full of clouds and wind, but within a few hours it will be 98 degrees and I'm left feeling deceived. I can't wait to start wearing sweaters and cardigans. Hopefully not too much longer, right? The past two days have been spent doing extreme thrifting, I have found so many amazing things, I'll post those tomorrow though.

On a different note, there has been a lot talk in my house of me starting up my own brick and mortar vintage store here in town. My best pal, Chrys, and I have been brainstorming, and it's coming along swell. I can only hope it will happen, but if not, it's still fun to plan!

Over the weekend, Anton and I celebrated our four month anniversary! Time has flown by, and I honestly have never been happier in all my life! I actually got him to come out and take some photos with me.

Yesterday, my best pals Chrys and Cody called me saying their car broke down in beautiful Prospect Park. My boy and I drove down their to see if we could help them out..Turns out we couldn't, but we had a fun time exploring the bamboo forests.

Check out best friend feet. I got my shoes for only $3 at my local thrift store! They were like new, and the new ones cost $36. I was so excited.

Hey Good Lookin'

On September 22, my papa passed away. It's been real hard to grasp the fact that he's actually gone, but I know he wouldn't want me to be sad, he was ready to go. Ever since my grandma passed away, he was never the same. I know his heart ached, and it puts a smile on my face to imagine them finally back together. My papa was one the best men I have ever met. He was honest, spoke his mind, worked his bones to the core, and he was so loving. Whenever I listen to Hank Williams, I think of him and I driving in his truck, and the sound of his deep voice singing along "Hey good lookin', What cha got cookin."

Phew, it's been a long week. I caught some sort of cold from my aunt's house, and I have been sick all week. I spent my time mostly sleeping in bed, drinking tea and watching movies. ( i saw Brave Heart for the first time!) I have the best boyfriend and friends. They helped take care of me and our house while i was sick! Today, I had to get out of bed and dressed to meet up with classmates to work on a project that's due soon.

A Double Date in Photos

This morning, we all woke up bright and early, and my best friend Chrys suggested we go to Oak Glen to go explore! We told out boys and headed out of dodge. We ended up going to a old time petting zoo, eating lots of candy, and taking a ton of photos. After that, my lovely boy barbecued all of us a delicious shish-ka-bob lunch! What a great start to the weekend.

Back for good

Well, I have been playing around with my camera and tripod, and hooray! Regular posting will commence. My new blog is slowly but surely coming along, my wonderful uncle is making my layout. I'm pretty excited! As of late, my life consists of taking care of my three siblings, going to college, thrifting, and loving my boyfriend (who you lovely readers haven't met yet) and pup!

These past two days have been the coldest in months here in Yucaipa. I'm enjoying it, but I have realized I have basically no weather appropriate clothes. Today, I just wore one of my boy's flannels!
